SanDisk unveils quartet of new flash devices
SanDisk has introduced a host of new products to enhance their already extensive portfolio, which saw the launch of 4 new USB flash drives. Newly unveiled are the Extreme USB 3.0, Cruzer Glide, Cruzer Facet, and Cruzer Pop.
The Extreme USB 3.0 Flash drive is SanDisk’s first USB 3.0 drive. It can transfer, store and share large files up to 10 times faster with speeds of up to 190MB/s. The drive can transfer smaller files almost instantaneously and larger files such as a 3GB file in 20 seconds or a 40GB file in four minutes. Available in sizes of 16, 32 and 64GB.
The Cruzer Glide flash drive is the second entrant in the Sandisk portfolio and features capacities from 4GB all the way to a whopping 128GB, which is SanDisk’s highest-capacity USB drive ever. Sandisk totes the Cruzer Glide as the perfect companion for those who work primarily on ultra-thin notebooks, which are often limited to 128GB of storage.
The Cruzer Facet and Cruzer Pop are stylish USB flash drives designed keeping in mind the “youth of the nation” and their demand for chic products.
The Cruzer Facet has a durable stainless-steel casing designed with a variety of rich vibrant colors and a faceted textured layer on top for grip.
The Cruzer Pop, Sandisk’s thinnest USB Flash drive, is designed for young urban users. It’s USB connector is concealed and protected when not in use, and snaps open from the middle with an eponymous “pop”.
All of the new products include the SanDisk SecureAccess file encryption software suite, providing 128-bit AES encryption for private files. Online storage is provided to SanDisk customers for backing up a maximum of 2GB of files as well, through the Yuuwaa service.
